Higher Closes Round the Week Out for Livestock Complex
Heading into Monday's market, cattlemen will be eyeing showlists, trying to
gauge what demand will be.
DTN Livestock Analyst
Friday's market led the livestock contracts to a higher close as the market
received ample fundamental support, especially in the cash cattle market. Hog
prices closed lower on the Daily Direct Afternoon Hog Report, down $2.76 with a
weighted average of $124.43 on 6,019 head. December corn is up 3 3/4 cents per
bushel and December soybean meal is down $15.60. The Dow Jones Industrial
Average is up 76.65 points.
